Best Poker games and hotel deals in Atlantic City?
Posted by admin
My friends and I are making a trip to Atlantic City on March 2nd til the forth, which is on a wednesday and thursday night. We want to find a hotel/casino that has a great bar(s) and a nice poker room. Any such hotels that also offer a good package deal?
My favorite hotel there is the Borgata. They have a nice poker room, from what I’ve seen (I’m not a poker player). They also have some pretty nice bars.
They don’t have too many packages. http://www.theborgata.com/Main.cfm?Category_1=2000&Category_2=2200 I usually just do the Wake Up Smiling package because it comes out to be less expensive than just booking the room on its own.

its going to be six month and i wanted to do something nice but dont want to spend $200 for a nice hotel does anyone know where i can get some really good deals on hotels and spend about $100?
Hi, I was in the same boat as you. We just got back from San Francisco and I paid $110/nt at a nice hotel in Union Square. The rooms were extremely large (especially for SF) and it was right near the cable car line. The service was great; I really enjoyed our stay. The name was the Donatello and we booked through a local agency. Here is the site: http://www.hotelres.com/

where do i look for the best train and hotel deals?
Posted by admin
i’m looking to go to Plymouth from Taunton in just under 2 weeks time for a couple of nights with my partner, she went with a friend about 9 months ago for a great deal of £38 including train fare and hotel for 3 nites, where can i find something similar? as she cant remember how her friend booked it.
The answers you’ve had so far have ignored your question just to advertise hotel booking sites.
http://www.thetrainline.com is a well known reputable company who offer combined rail and hotel breaks, unfortunately even though they are a major company, the site had problems when I looked! so I couldn’t get beyond the rail portion e.g. outbound Friday 4 June, 10:18 return Monday 7 June, 13:43 would cost £21 each (2 x advance singles each).
I cannot believe your friend stayed in Plymouth hotel for £13 a night with rail fare thrown in, unless it was one of these newspaper token deals. I would have thought it would cost you £70 upwards each for 4 nights with rail.

what is the less expensive hotel in vegas and best deals in the spring when it is cooler outside?
Posted by admin
i want to go to vegas this spring so any ideas when is the time for best deals and cooler weather which hotel is cheaper at the time of spring please write below thank you
I go to Vegas a couple times a year every years and so here’s what I think you need to know.
When you look for a hotel in Vegas consider this. All of the big hotels on the Strip are great. The most important things to consider are location, price, and in the summer you want to consider the hotel’s pool area. So, stay on the strip in the center of all of the hotel locations so that you can walk to see all of the hotels and casinos, and all of the free attractions. ( http://www.goingtovegas.com/kpv-lvst.htm ) The best place to stay to do that is in one of the hotels on or nearest to Flamingo Rd & the Strip. At that corner is Caesars Palace, Bellagio, the Flamingo, Ballys, and the Paris hotels. I am not saying you need to stay in one of these but stay close to them. I do recommend the Flamingo, Harrahs, and Monte Carlo hotels if you are looking for a good price, location and pool.
The next thing to consider in picking the BEST place is price. Rates go down in the summer (and again after Thanksgiving, until about mid-January (except new years eve when prices double)). So pick a place that has the best price for you. Caesars, Wynn, The Venetian, and Bellagio will cost top dollar all of the time (like $150 and up) per night during the summer. The Flamingo, Ballys Monte Carlo, and some others you can get into for around $100 (but most times for less) during the low seasons. Its also more expensive in all Vegas hotels on Friday and Saturday nights by $40 to $60 more per night. So to get a lower rate plan to go to Vegas on Sunday and stay through Thursday night.
In the spring and summer you probably want to spend some time at the pool areas, which in Vegas are fabulous. All of the big hotels have great pool areas. But the Mandalay Bay, and Monte Carlo hotels have a wave pool and a lazy river for tubing or body floating. The MGM hotel has a huge lazy river and a water fall. The Flamingo has a water slide (not big but nice and refreshing) and also a water fall. The pools at Caesars and Bellagio are good because they have multiple pools and plenty of places to sit. Caesars even has a topless pool areas called the VENUS POOL.
I have stayed at Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, Paris, MGM, Monte Carlo, Bellagio, Caesars, the Rio, the Flamingo, Ballys, and Harrahs. But the BEST place for me when I go is who has the best price. Again, all of the Strip hotels are great. So shop the web sites, look at the hotel rate calendars, and go when the price is the lowest. That’s the best place to stay on the Strip. Many of the hotel web sites will let you compare rates at their partner properties for the dates that you select. Also, hotel rates can change daily and weekly so look at the hotel rate calendars and go when the price is the lowest. The energy crisis has resulted in many Strip hotels offering good deals on rooms; look for the deals.
You can probably get lower priced rooms at the Circus Circus, Sahara and Rivera on the north end of the Strip, the Tropicana on the south end, and also at the hotels on Fremont Street. The Tropicana is one of the older hotels that has not been renovated like many others;its actually in bankruptcy right now. The other locations will place you a long way from the center of the strip action and you’ll have to take a bus or taxi to Strip action. In addition, if you need to run to the room for a little R&R, it’s a long ways.
Yes you can stay in a bad hotel and/or location for under $50 a night but you can stay in a better hotel and location for just a few dollars more per night; in the range of $70 to $100 per night. And feel safer too!!!
How do I get the best deals on 5 star hotel in vegas?
Posted by admin
I’m having a girl night out with 4 of my gf in sep 20-23. Since we’re splitting the $ we want to stay at a 5 star resort but we want to get the best deals there is. Any tips on getting the best prices out of them? I’m flying out of PDX. Appreciate any tips you can give me.
Well I have been just checking this out recently. If you go to priceline.com and look up your dates then check the 5 star tab. You will see the regular price for the Venetian. It is the only 5 star hotel listed with priceline. Today it is listed at $253 per night plus tax.
You can bid (name your price) and see if you can get it for less, I would try half if it accepts your bid you bought the room if not it will suggest the amount to increase.
I have booked rooms in the past and when there is only one hotel listed I tend to get it. However they could spring another hotel in the mix although if you request a 5 star that’s what you will get.
You can also pick the approximate area like the strip/Fremont street are considered one area.
Also for your flight go to www.kayak.com this will search the entire web for the best deals and post who has them, as of today US Airways has the lowest price from Portland to Vegas at $224 per person this include tax although this may not have the timing you want.
have fun and good luck
