Can a NON US citizen travel to California from Australia and get a medical marijuana card while there?

Just curious to know if its possible for non US residents to obtain the medical cannabis card while traveling/living in california or any other state.
Once residency is established in a State with medical marijuana, bring your medical records and you could obtain a card. Not so for visitors. In CA you need proof of residency within a county.

You probably will be able to. Its not like they check nationality. You just go to a doctor and he approves you for a medical marijuana card. And then you probably need to fill out some paperwork, maybe throw in a fake address, and you’re golden.

I don’t even live in california, and i am only somewhat familiar with the cannabis card process, but i think you might be able to pull it off, cause if a doctor in the state of california approves you for a medical marijuana card, the state of california must allow you to purchase marijuana at their dispenseries
