Can a non-American citizens travel from new york to California with a student id?

I want to travel to California for the summer but my passport expired so i want to travel with my student ID. By the way Im only 15 and Im not a American citizen.

I’m fairly certain not even citizens can travel with just a student ID. You should have the passport situation sorted out ASAP.
