Affordable beachside accommodation in Southern California?
Posted by admin
I am looking for an affordable place to stay for two nights this upcoming July that is beachside… as in, you can see the sun setting over the ocean from your beachy backyard. Although I would love the ocean to be a pebble’s throw away, this is not required… but I sure do want it to be really, really close.
The problem is all the places that offer this that I can find are very, very expensive. I am looking for something that is less than $100/night. I don’t care which beach it is, as long as it doesn’t go farther south than San Diego [I live in the Inland Empire].
Anybody know some affordable beachside accommodation? Hotel? Hostel? Beach House? Anything?!
$100? Not gonna happen for hotel accomodation.
Try www.vrbo.com It’s vacation rental homes.
Crystal Cove State Beach in Newport Beach has cabins that you can rent. They book up months in advance. Website below. They are right on the beach and you can sit on your patio and watch the sunset. You have to make your reservations on Reserve America.
Of course, you could camp next to a beach. A website with beaches you can camp on is below.

Don’t count on $100/night. Beach side accommodations cost MORE.

Sorry, a hundred dollars a night will barely get you a dump downtown, let alone a beach hotel. I did find this site were people have rooms for rent in santa monica. good luck.

It’s not IMPOSSIBLE to get a room for less than $100 a night, it’s just not probable.
If you can go mid-week, the last minute, it would be more likely to happen. It would just be if you found a hotel that had vacancies and wanted at least some money instead of an empty room.

Affordable and Beachside are oxymorons in LA.
