Hiya. I wet to orlando in july (AMAZING!!!) and me and my boyfriend wanted tickets for blizzard beach and typhoon lagoon waterparks. We visited a ticket shop on international drive and the lady there told us to go to a sheraton timeshare talk and look around (which wasn't that bad because we got free breakfast and drinks) and we got an excellent deal on the tickets, they were meant to be $120 for the four tickets and just because we went to the talk and breakfast we got them for $60 ($30 each for two waterparks!). So as for the people saying you can't get a good discount you definately can if you are prepared to look around a timeshare for about 90 minutes (which includes free breakfast and a tour of the beutiful apartments!). Hope this helps and have an amazing time!
References :
Been to orlando in july

There is no such thing as free or discounted tickets to Disney World. Sorry. In 2009 Disney is launching a celebration that will allow a person, on their birthday, admission to one theme park for the day. Beware of any place that offers free or discounted tickets. Disney tickets are linked to guests by their fingerprints. Disney has started this as a way of preventing tickets from being switched around. Also keep in mind that tickets expire 14 days from their first use, so even if you were to find tickets on Ebay, for example, chances are by the time you bought them, received them and got to Disney they would be expired. You will see a significant drop in price if you buy multiple days on your ticket vs just a 1 day ticket. The more days you buy, the cheaper per day the ticket becomes.

Hotels you will easily be able to find deals on. I recommend staying on Disney property because of all the perks. Just head over to Disney's website http://www.disneyworld.com and start searching through the hotels. The value season is the cheapeast season and rooms start at $82 a night then. That is for the All-Star resorts and the Pop Century. I suggest the latter, it has it's own bus as opposed to the All-Stars which share a bus causing overcrowding at times.

Anyone that says that ticket prices vary is wrong. Ticket prices do not fluctuate with the seasons like the hotels do.

Make sure you purchase your tickets from Disney directly, a Disney Store or a reputable travel agent.

BTW those are the absolute busiest times of the year, and you will be paying a fortune for rooms...

Disney is expensive and you got to figure out if you can afford to go. There aren't free tickets on your birthday.
That is the busiest time of year and if they close the park because it is full you are out of luck. Staying in at Disney resort is best. You will get in.
There are some discount to Disney parks, but they are very small discounts. Disney keeps a tight hold on their tickets and prices.
Listening to a time share can be a waste of a day. And what do you do with the kids. Expect them to sit for 3 hours or more.
Be ware of scams. Buy from Disney or an authorized Disney travel agent.

Yes there is a free day on your birthday. But you can not inclued in a multi day pass. There are retrcitions-all on the disney web site.
References :
www.allears.net

ok first offf there is no way to get free disney tickets. and discounts for disney are almost non exsistant. if you are a AAA member they offer a very small disncount to their members. other than that you won't find much of a discount anywhere else.
and if you want to stay at a disney hotel that is the most expensive time of year to go. the value resorts are usually $82 per night but during this time they are $129 per night.
i'm sure you can find good deals on regular hotels that are within the area like for $75 or less.
and you realize that xmas and new years eve are said to be the absolute busiest days at disney world. they actually stop lettting people in cuz they reach their guest capacity.
and idk if you are flying but airfare is at its highest price between xmas and new years.

if you are dead set on going during this time i would
-shop around for flights and to get the cheapest you will need to make several stops before reaching orlando. and book it now don't wait or you may not be able to get a flight.
-find a cheapy hotel not a nice one. i mean it doesn't have to be crappy look online for hotels in the orlando area and look at their pics before deciding on one.
-just buy base tickets and don't add any options on that cost extra like park hopper or water park option.
-if you want to visit all four parks buy the 4 day base ticket (DON'T BUY EACH DAY SEPARATELY CUZ THE PRICE FOR ONE DAY TICKET IS $75 PER ADULT AND $63 FOR KIDS 3-9 BUT A FOUR DAY TICKET IS ONLY $219 PER ADULT AND $184 PER KIDS 3-9 SO YOU SEE THE PRICE PER DAY GOES DOWN AS YOU PUT MORE DAYS ON ONE TICKET.INSTEAD OF BUYING EACH DAY TICKET SEPARATELY)
here is how it breaks down.
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/genPage?id=MagicYourWayStarterPassesPopUp

hope i've helped.

EDIT
the free b-day free ticket doesn't start until january 1st.
References :
been to disney world 44 times since 1986.

Honestly, the best way to get free Disney anything, is to know someone who works there.
You will pay peak/holiday rates at any hotel at this time of year. Many will require a three night stay minimum. I would check hotel web sites for possible deals, but as far as tickets to Disney, they cost what they cost. The more days you play, the more you save.

You should go on someones birthday, instead. They give a free ticket on that day.

Other than that, I would suggest going on their website and seeing if there is any other discounts (maybe for longer stays or large parties)
References :
Hotels are going to be expensive unless you stay further away from the park, itself.
