Is it possible to travel from California to Japan without flying?

If money was a semi-issue. I don’t mind paying a little extra than a plane ticket, but I wouldn’t want to pay twice as much. And not just taking a boat all the way across the pacific ocean.
Like, can I take a train all the way up california, to Canada, all the way through alaska, take a boat to Russia, than take a boat/train to Japan?
The only two ways to get there are plane and boat, so I’m not sure I understand the question. They are in no way connected.
If you have a fear of flying, I believe there are some medications to either reduce that, or relax you so that it doesn’t concern you.

I am getting Married in December of next year and i would like to surprise my future husband with a honeymoon in Ireland. We both work minimum wage jobs and I want to save up the money without him knowing. So I am trying to find the best deals on everything that i can and still make this a very romantic trip.

How long does it take to travel from california to missouri?

yeah, were going to missouri to visit some families for christmas & new year, my dad says it takes 2 days, but how about the gas stops, food places, and such were going til dec. 22 early about 12 pm when do u think well get there?
I live in Missouri, I hope you enjoy yourself. I traveled from California to Missouri on a Greyhound(Bus that is) and it took about 3 days. Now this was about 32 years ago but the speed limit was higher then wasn’t it? Enjoy your trip. I hope you come to the Ozarks-It’s the most beautiful place in the world-Lots of trees and wildlife and clean air. Happy holidays!!!
What is the best hotel and flight to visit the lackland Airforce base in San Antonio, TX?

My husband is going into the airforce on Tuesday and I am trying to plan ahead to get the best deals for airfare and hotels for his graduation. I don’t want to rent a car if possible so it needs to be close. If you have personal experience that would be wonderful!
Stay on base if you can. I can’t remember the name of the hotel but its pretty decent and you can have your airman come hang out with you during base libery because after eating at the base restaurants and bowling there is NOTHING to do on Lackland. There are a few other hotels nearby basse but they’re pretty ghetto. There was one right by my hubs squadron that was lime green! He said there were constant hookers and drug deals going on. Definetly rent a car! He will get a day and a half off base and ya’ll will want to go to riverwalk and do other things. Plus your husband will be thrilled to be able to go somewhere in a car and not have to walk there.email me if ya have any questions

What is the best route to take to travel from California to Wisconsin in Early January?

Driving not flying. I want to avoid the snow and ice as much as possible, so I am willing to go south a bit if necessary. I will be travelling from the Modesto/San Juaquin area to DePere/Green Bay Wisconsin.

You are taking your chances driving to Wisconsin via any route in January. I don’t care how you go.
The quickest route takes you through Reno, Salt Lake City, Cheyenne, Omaha, and Madison.
It’s over 2200 miles and a 32 hour drive barring the sort of unforseen conditions that can occur in January. You will be traveling over major mountain passes that can experience major snow accumulations and across prairies that can experience drifting snow.
I suggest you take extra supplies, blankets, food, water, road flairs, candles, etc just in case. Oh, and you better have good snow tires and chains. Seriously, pardon me for repeating myself, but you never know what sort of conditions you are going to run across.

Will an arrest be a hindrance for a job?
Almost every major employer will do a pre-employment background check. I can’t imagine a hotel that wouldn’t do this as part of their standard procedures when hiring someone.
Generally, you would not be disqualified as the result of an arrest, only a conviction (including if you plead "guilty" or "no contest".) In fact, many states prohibit employers from even asking about arrests.
Please – some help with SSI?

My mother has been managing my SSI income, but now she wants an agent assigned to my case. I am hoping to stay in Hawaii, tending farms for free (wwoofhawaii.org), or possibly just staying in hostels – really anything, so long as I’m there.
But, I’m confused… do California benefits extend to Hawaii under these, or ANY circumstances? If not, then what if I maintained my own SSI – could there be some work-around?
you would need to get a hold of the local social security office and explain the situation with hawaii. They would need to transfer your case there, since different states have different benefit amounts. they can explain how the entire process goes, and help you get certified through hawaii. If this is a temporary move, you may not need to do all that. If it’s a permanent move, then you do. Go to the social security office, schedule an appointment, and sit down and speak with them about it.
