Atlanta Hotel Discounts and General Question?

Me, My Parents, and My cousin are going on vacation to Atlanta Georgia in late june or early july. We are going to Six Flags and a Braves game. I’m trying to find a hotel thats in a safe area and trying to find out how to get a discount on the hotel. I’ve been looking at Country Inn and Suites on Windy Hill Road in Atlanta cause ive heard that its in a safe area and its a good hotel..But do you know how much it costs per night, and how i could get a discount on the ticket? Please.
I’m almost fanatical in getting the lowest price motel. What I generally do is start out on a discount site (i.e. Hotels.com or expedia) to see the price that they quote and to read guest reviews. Then I’ll go on the hotel’s site. I’ll key in whatever discount codes my familiy might be eligible for, like AAA or military. Then I’ll compare prices and obviously, book the lowest.
Is the Country Inn located on Windy Hill by I-75? (That’s Marietta, by the way — not Atlanta.) I’m not familiar with it, but that’s a convenient location with a lot of places to eat. Make sure that whatever hotel you go to offers some kind of free breakfast. That’ll save your family $25 — or more in dining!

Me and my best friend are thinking of going to California next year, on our own. We will be meeting one of my relatives there. We will be 16 next year. We are from England. Please help as it’s urgent. How old do you have to be to travel from England to California without a parent?
According to British Airways, once you’re 16 you’re classed as an adult on a plane. This is usually the case, as unaccompanied minors age restrictions are between the ages of 12 and 15. So you and you’re friend would be able to fly from England to California with no problems.
Santa Cruz California hotels filled with bed bugs, theft, and rude service?

I am taking a little trip with a friend up to Santa Cruz for a few days this summer but it looks like all the hotel reviews are really really awful and frightening.
Does anyone with actual experience living or visiting Santa Cruz know of a decent and SAFE hotel for young girls to stay? I am looking to spend no more than $115 a night (hopefully less). If all of Santa Cruz is as disgusting as it looks in the reviews online, maybe a suggestion for a place in a nearby town?

Santa Cruz is a beautiful place…ideal in the Summer. However, being a prime living & vacation spot, there is heavy Summer traffic, lots of tourists. Tourist season is now so you WILL be paying top dollar, even for a Motel 6. Stay away from Beach Flats…the area surrounding the Boardwalk. Beach Hill area (above the flats) or Downtown Santa Cruz is a safer bet. Consider anything on Ocean Street…from here you can walk to ocean, restaurants Check out University Inn on Ocean street: http: //www.santacruz.com/universityinn/ .
This is a housing facility for UCSC students, as well as hotel for the general public. So it’s safe, well lit, homey. Hope that helps….love, a local.
