Does anyone know who gives fair discounts to book a number of hotel rooms for a wedding?
Posted by admin
I’m getting married in July and the last thing I need is a good hotel thats affordable and comfortable to our guests. Are there hotels that give significant discounts for booking over ten rooms? If so, where?
in what country would you be talking about?

does anyone know about any hotel discounts for families with children that are in traveling teams?

The first week of July my family needs to travel almost 1000 miles to Flordia for a national dance competition that my daughter is in. What is comes down to is that hotels that week are very expensive. It is a holiday week and the rate almost doubles. Does anyone know of any type of help that hotels may offer ? Thanks!
If the above suggestion to try and see if the competition got group rates does not work, try Hotels.com. I went in and entered 2 adults and 1 child (16 yrs old) for Orlando from July 2 through 8 and got many rooms starting around $55.00 / $60.00 per night.
As another option, try the below link and see if a rental home may be available for that week. Many times they will give you a great deal just to fill the place for a few days if they don’t have bookings. The nice thing about renting a home is the privacy and you get a full kitchen so you can save by cooking at the house instead of eating all those meals out. Plus most will have their own private pool.

It seems like the best hotel deals are the "Last Minute Deals"??
Posted by admin
We’re planning on getting away for the Labor Day weekend and I’m just wondering if it would be smart or stupid to wait to look into getting hotel reservations. I’ve looked around a little bit and the rates are ridiculous right now, but it seems like the "last minute deals" that sites like Expedia and stuff advertise are really low….
So my question is would it be better to wait or do you think I’ll be SOL because there won’t be anything available at all?
Shopping on travel sites is like shopping with coupons and planning to use your coupon when the store has its own sales so you get the stuff basically for free. It’s worth it if you’re motivated and have the time. Those last-minute deals on travel sites are hooks to get you to book right away. However, if you already know where you’re going, then it is actually a good deal for you. It’s kind of like flying on stand-by, but if the deals are worth waiting for and you don’t mind taking a chance you can’t get a booking where you want, go for it. Otherwise, it’s better to be safe than sorry. I’m wondering, though, can you book now and cancel later if you get a last minute deal you want to take? If that’s an option for you, you can beat them at your own game. In any event, I hope you have a wonderful vacation.
How long does it take to travel within California?
Posted by admin
Hi, if my question does not seem so clear to you, what i’m saying is how long does it take to maybe travel from one end of California to another end, or maybe just from city to city. Oh and also, just if you know, Are the highways safe and have good, enjoyable, views?
Thanks for answering my question!
Well from San diego to los angeles can be from 3 to 4 hours away… (take the 5 north but be careful of rush hour… gets brutal)… from los angeles to san francisco anywhere from 6 to 8 hours (beautiful scenic routes driving up the 1)… and from san diego to the top of california… at least half a day… these are estimates of course if you didn’t stop… oh and also… go up PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) if you get the chance! Also try and visit Sequoia National Park… beautiful… hope you have fun!

Do airlines ever give discounts for hotel employees?

I work in the hotel industry, and we always give deep discounts to airline employees. Do they reciprocate?
No
Hoitels give the discounts because they are assured of regular occupancy. Not because they are being generous.
best way to get good hotel deals in Vegas?
Posted by admin
I’m looking for the best source for good room rates in Vegas, including places like the Bellagio. Any advice?
Thanks! Smartvegas is very cool – the rate on that site is $70 cheaper than on the hotel’s site itself! And it redirects you to the hotel site and shows the reduced price. This idea that the hotel site will always be cheapest is bogus.
smartervegas.com. Rooms at the bellagio start at $99 per night. Expires sept. 30 2009.
If I travel with my car from California through central america I need some permits or something?

I want to move from California and Travel trough all Central America and go to Venezuela, can I do it with my car? I need some visa or something to pass trough every country?
Unless something has changed recently, you can’t drive all the way through Panama as there is a 51 mile gap in the rainforest there called the Darien Gap.
Driving through Mexico and most Central American nations, requires tourist cards for each country and buying insurance in each country. Plus you will experience the occasional rogue police officer looking for a bribe.
