Has anyone every made hotel reservations on the internet, like through the discounts?

Posted by admin

I have never reserved a hotel before and, also i’ve never done it online, it will be my first time getting a hotel on my own. I’m also on a budget too, i need something under hundred, and in San Francisco.
somone answer my question????????????????????????????????????????????????

Yes, I’ve done it. You can save money, but do some homework first. Hotel descriptions on websites are not always accurate or reliable. I once found a "good deal" and discovered that the hotel was a dump and in a bad neighborhood when I arrived. So much for saving money. I also worked for a travel website and descriptions of cheap hotels were frequently "optimistic".

San Francisco is an expensive city. Good luck finding something decent for under $100.

Where can I find the best deals for hotel and flight ?

My friends and I want to go to Miami Fl. For July 1 to July 8. We want to be on Collins, Washington or Ocean ave. Im not sure if thats Miami beach or Miami but thats where we want to go. Expedia is giving us poor hotels. Please help me! thanks a lot. BTW we are in NYC

Give this website a try. It searches all the hotels in Miami/South Beach on the web and lets you compare prices (includes priceline, orbitz, hotels.com, etc.)….

do i need a passport to travel from pennsylvania to california?

i’m not an american citizen, i am a green card holder do i need a passport to travel from pennsylvania to california?

No, there’s no need to show your passport when you travel domestically in the US, even if you are a tourist. But sometimes they ask you for an ID when you board. A passport could satisfy such need.

Do you know any California hotels under $100 a night close by DisneyLand?

Posted by admin

It doesnt have to be a really nice hotel. Just a hotel. it needs to be tops $100 a night close by Disneyland. Do you know any??

I stayed at this hotel last year: http://www.pavilionshotel.com/

I just did a price check and it’s $95 a night, sometimes they have promotions. I think I paid $85 a night when I went last September. We took a car so the free parking was a plus.

They also have free wifi and they have a fridge and microwave in the rooms (we bought food at the Food-4-Less, 1616 West Katella Avenue, &kept it in the fridge or made it in the microwave, good way to save money).

They have a pool and they have a Denny’s right next door if you don’t want to pay to eat at Disneyland or Downtown Disney. They also have a minimart within walking distance.

To get to the parks we walked through the Disney employees parking lot which is across the street from the hotel (look on google maps or mapquest to see).

Just a tip, make sure you bring more money then what you planned already. The cost of food in the park is really expensive (Water $3.00, Churro $6.00, Sandwich $8.00) not to mention the overpriced souverniers.

Motels in Orange County, California with cheap weekly rates?

Posted by admin

I’m planning to visit Orange County for one to two weeks early next year. Back in the 80’s, there were a bunch of cheap motels in the Disneyland area that had super cheap weekly rates. Do any of these still exist? I’m willing to go as much as 25 miles away from Anaheim. Price is my only concern. I will only be using the room for sleeping so I don’t need any amenities.

If not, are there any other options? Maybe a cheap hostel?
>extended stay usually has weekly rates

>your not a hooker are you?

Funny….

Those "Extended Stay" motels are priced for the business traveler and charge as much for a week as many pay for a months rent in a nice apartment.

No, I’m looking for a dirt cheap room. And when I say cheap, I mean cheap!

I believe there are two chains that are listed as the most reasonable and all I can think of right now is ‘we’ll leave the light on for you’ and Quality inns
you might google motels and see what is available in that area

How would I find a job that involves travel between California and Texas?

Posted by admin

I currently live in Ontario, CA but have family in the Dallas area and would love to find a job that involves some travel between the two places if possible. I work as an IT Manager, if that helps. Thanks!
Yes, but how do I find an IT job that specifically involves travel between the two states? I.E. has headquarters in both states, or at least main offices?

A job for an airline or other type travel business. Like a travl provider company, sometimes they are looking for IT managers.

OR you may want to look into attending a school for a stuartess or ticketing position.

I am travelling around california for 3 weeks in january. How easy is it to book hotels on the spot?

Posted by admin

Want to just go with the flow and not plan much. Looking for cheap accommodation all around California and nearby states. Also, does anyone know of a map or list of motels/hotels which is available to buy or download?

It’s a piece of cake. The tourist season doesn’t dramatically begin until early March with various Spring Breaks. From October through February, most hotels and motels are wide open. The gotchas are in convention areas like Anaheim and San Francisco. If a convention is going on, just go a mile or two away from the area to be back to normal, unbooked conditions.
